Words have 4 major forms:

- Actions
- Many Forms (past, present, continuous, etc.)
- Irregular or Regular
- Gerunds & Infinitives
- People (Tom, Brad Pitt, Teacher, Girl)
- Places (Toronto, School, Canada)
- Things (Television, Dog, Chair)
- Ideas (Freedom, Love, Justice)
Nouns can be countable or uncountable. They often come after the verb "have" or after articles (a, an, the)
- I have a dog.
- The boy is tall.
Adjectives
- Describe nouns
- Go before nouns (The tall boy)
- Go after the verb to Be (The boy is tall)
Adverbs
- Describe verbs (The boy ran quickly)
- Describe adjectives (The man is surprisingly tall.)
Often, the endings show the type of word. These endings are called suffixes.
