In, On, At

The prepositions IN, ON, and AT are used to indicate time and
place. Notice how they are used differently in the following
situations:
Time
In

earIn 1994

SeasonIn summer
Part of the dayIn the afternoon
In the morning
IN the evening

On
DayOn Monday
DateOn July 5, 2008

At

Time => At 6:30 pm

Place

In
CountryI live in Canada.
State/ProvinceShe lives in Texas.
CityWe live in Toronto.

On
Street =>The school is on King Street.

At
Address => My office is at 15 King Street.

In many languages, there is only one preposition for the above situations. In English there are three. Just remember that in usually indicates the "largest" time or place, and at usually indicates the "smallest" time or place.

Examples:
I live in Canada, on Main street, at 1481.
The wedding is in June, on Saturday, at 5pm.
